Hi! My name is Scout, like the little girl in To Kill a Mockingbird, and I am looking for a forever home of my very own! I came to BCAA after my owner had to move somewhere she couldn’t take me. I’m almost 2 years old and just a little lady weighing just over 7 pounds.When I first arrived in foster, I was really, really scared. I wanted to hide, and I definitely did NOT want anyone picking me up. But my foster mom was patient and gave me the time I needed. Now? I absolutely light up when I see her and happily jump right into her arms! I’m still learning to trust my foster dad and am slowly coming around, but I definitely seem to feel more comfortable with women. I get along great with other dogs and cats too. I’m definitely a little velcro girl in the making.I probably have never had a leash on before, and because I can still be easily spooked, a securely fenced yard is a must for me so I can safely take care of business while I continue building my confidence.I may need a little patience and time to fully trust you, but once I do, you’ll have a tiny best friend who thinks you are the absolute best thing in the world.
