Female Dog, Foxhound
Foxhound / Hound / Mixed
Description:
Sandy is a 2-year-old soulful hound mix with the most irresistible “will you rub me?” eyes you’ve ever seen. She currently weighs about 45 pounds and is underweight — she should be closer to 50 pounds to be at a healthy weight. She’s on her journey to filling out and feeling her very best, and she’ll need a family committed to continuing her nutrition and care so she can fully thrive. What Sandy lacks in pounds, she more than makes up for in love. She is incredibly affectionate and absolutely adores cuddling. If you sit down, she’s right there. If you’re on the couch, she’s ready to share it. She soaks up attention like sunshine and bonds deeply with her people.Sandy gets along great with other dogs, is crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She truly thrives around other dogs and would do best in a home with a canine companion who wants a buddy to play and cuddle with. She’s gentle, sweet-natured, and just wants to be close to her humans. She absolutely loves zoomies in the yard and, being a typical hound, will happily follow her nose — so she will require a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot fence that is reinforced at the bottom to keep her safe while she explores.Sandy has been through so much in her life and is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time she needs to settle in, feel safe, and truly blossom. Once she does, you’ll have the most loyal, loving companion by your side.If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly shadow who will fill your home with love, Sandy is ready to steal your heart — and yes, your couch too.
