Description:
Meet Abby — A Resilient Spirit with a Heart Ready to HealBCAA has recently partnered with our southern rescue allies to help dozens of dogs rescued from a puppy mill that is going out of business. Many of these dogs came to us in heartbreaking condition—under-socialized, fearful, and unfamiliar with the simplest comforts of a loving home. One of these brave survivors is Abby, an 8-year-old buff-colored Pomeranian who weighs just over 16 pounds. Don’t let her age fool you—this little lady still has plenty of pep in her step! Abby is curious, alert, and learning that life can be filled with love, soft beds, and gentle hands. Thanks to our amazing fosters and veterinary team, Abby and her fellow rescues have begun their road to recovery. Each dog has received the essentials—spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and treatment (if needed), preventatives, deworming, and grooming. But most importantly, they’re learning what it means to be cherished companions.Abby is still a bit shy as she adjusts to her new world, but with patience and kindness, her sweet personality continues to shine through. She’s looking for a calm, quiet home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. Because she’s not yet comfortable walking on a leash, a secure, fenced yard is required for her safety. While not mandatory, having a friendly, confident resident dog could help Abby feel more at ease and show her how wonderful family life can be.Dogs like Abby need time, understanding, and lots of TLC—but the reward of watching her bloom into a happy, trusting companion is truly priceless. If you believe you can offer Abby the safe and loving home she deserves, please fill out an adoption application at www.bcaaofnj.org.
