Since arriving at the temporary shelter, she hasn’t made a peep — no bays, no howls, not even a whisper — but her eyes and wiggly tail tell you everything you need to know. This sweet girl has clearly been through a lot, yet she meets every moment with quiet hope. She’s underweight and still catching up on good meals, but her face lights up when the food bowl comes out. Delaney is eager for love and attention, though she asks for it so politely — a gentle nudge, a small wag, or a look that says, “I’d love some affection, if you have a moment.” She’s learning that she’s safe now — that kind hands are here to stay, and that it’s okay to take up space.
