Description:
Stella came to us from a hoarding/breeding situation. She was super scared and confused, but has been gradually realizing there are people in the world who only want to love her and care for her. Our volunteers have been working with her. She will now take treats from your hand if you are gentle, and she will look you in the eye. Stella would need a very special family: quiet, adults-only, and experienced with hoarding dogs (or dogs who came from a similar situation). Her family would be patient, give her the time she needs to become comfortable in her new surroundings, and would understand what she has been through. Stella loves to play with other dogs and is happiest when doing so! Another dog at home would be necessary to help her trust her new family and show her how to "dog". A fenced yard is necessary while she learns about the wonders of being outdoors. She is 2 1/2 years old old and weighs around 10 pounds - the perfect size!
