Meet Dante, an incredibly smart and affectionate Shepherd/Husky mix. At only 1 1/2 years old and about 50 pounds, Dante is still a baby with such incredible potential! Dante was initially purchased as a puppy by a family that had neither the time nor the space for him. He spent far too much of his young life in a crate. Since coming to Rescue Ridge, we have been working diligently with Dante and have learned what an amazing dog he is! He is extremely smart and has learned many commands. This is a boy who loves to work and is clearly looking for leadership. He is also very sweet and loving and loves to be pet. He needs plenty of exercise, but when his needs are met, he is content to lie by your feet. Dante is the kind of dog that will thrive and blossom in the right home. We are confident that in a house with a yard and a dog-savvy owner, Dante will be a wonderful, loyal, and loving companion. He may not have had the best start in life, but he has his whole life ahead of him- let’s get this boy out of the kennel and into the kind of home he deserves!
