Description:
Betty is a special girl who is looking for a new home. Betty is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Betty was rescued from a high kill shelter in southern Louisiana. She is currently in a foster home in Louisiana getting lots of love and care. Betty is dog friendly but prefers calmer pups. She is housebroken and crate trained. Betty has begun heartworm treatment and can come to NJ in May after her treatment is completed and she is fixed. She is suffering the effects of heartworm and is in early chronic heart failure with an enlarged heart. Betty has improved so much under the care of our partner rescue we are hopeful she will continue to improve. She is on 2 medications to help her heart function. We are looking for a foster or adopter to continue Betty's care here in NJ. Betty will be fixed and microchipped and up to date on vaccines prior to coming to NJ. Her adoption fee is $300. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon!
