Meet Heath! Heath is a male husky who is looking for his loving forever home. Heath was brought to a kill shelter after getting hit by a car and suffering a broken leg, and ended up on the euthanasia list but was pulled by Husky House in collaboration with Second Chance NYC before he was euthanized. Heath had surgery on his leg and had a cast for some time, but has now progressed to a soft split that he will wear for a few more weeks, and he will likely be able to run and play freely in early October. Heath is friendly with people but has not yet been tested with other dogs while his leg recovers. He has shown some resource guarding with his meals and would do best in a forever home that will help him continue to work on this. Interested in adopting Heath?
