This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Update MAY 2024 Sadly, Butter just celebrated his 1st birthday in the Shelter. He is 100% GOOD BOY with the biggest heart. We know his person is out there and we are hopeful that they will come soon. Butter is truly a dog who deserves to be out of the shelter! He’s been with us for almost 6 months and at a year old, this means HALF OF HIS LIFE has been in a cage. Someone is out there ready to open their heart, we know it! OCT 2023 This adorable 6-month-old hound mix is a real heart-stealer at the shelter. Weighing in at 43 lbs with plenty of growing still to do, Butter is set to be a strapping lad! He's a dog-friendly sweetheart, and his BFF here is Gunther. He'd love a friendly canine sibling in his forever home. While Butter may be a bit shy initially, his loving nature shines through once he feels at ease. He'd thrive in a home with a fenced yard, and he's looking for companionship with kids over 10. Some basic obedience training will help him become the perfect family member! *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.
