All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Hi everyone! I’m Ziggy—but you can call me Ziggy Stardust. It makes me feel like the superstar I am! I’m currently crashing with my foster family, but I’m on the lookout for my forever home. Could that be with you? Let me tell you a bit about myself: I’m playful, affectionate, and downright charming. There’s nothing I love more than cuddling up on laps, playing with my favorite toys, and making new friends—especially other dogs. I’m working on getting to know the cat in my foster home, and once I’ve figured them out, I think we could get along just fine. I adore taking walks outside, sniffing out all the scents, and exploring the world around me. I’m happiest when I’m active and having fun, but I also know how to chill and enjoy quiet moments with my favorite humans. I also LOVE treats for good behavior, and I take them very gently. What I’m hoping to find in my forever home is someone who will appreciate me for the special pup I am and shower me with love and affection. In return, I promise to fill your life with boundless joy, wagging tails, and lots of cuddles. I really am an expert in all of those. If you think we’d make the perfect match, let’s meet up! I’m ready to dazzle my way into your heart. They tell me I am not a good dog for an apartment ... and that leaving me alone during the day while you work in an apartment might not work out. They are just guessing, but that's what they say! All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
