Description:
Steve is a little lemon colored beagle. He is approximately 17 lbs and 2-3 yrs of age. He ended up in our local kill shelter where his life was definitely in danger because he was terrified and shutting down in the environment. We pulled Steve out and he was scared and trembling. As we read through his shelter notes, every day, he was fearful, whale eyed and trembling. He was completely afraid. He slowly started warming up and figured out the stairs to the bed on his own and slept with me from the start. As he is learning to be in a house with a family, he is opening up and not being fearful. He is goofy and happy. He follows from room to room, gets along with others and overall appears to be a really nice guy. Adoption fee is 375 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc.. We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back. Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years therefore beagles under 3 years of age will not be adopted to anyone over the age of 62.
