Male Dog, Dachshund

Dachshund / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Meet Wilbur! He’s a 2 year old, 16 lb Dachshund mix. Rescued from an animal hoarding situation in Texas, he is the biggest snuggler and wants nothing more than to be near his people and soak up all of the love. He gets along with other dogs, kids, and all people so far. One of his best features is that his right ear is almost always at attention, it’s so cute! He is learning his house manners and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home when kept on a regular potty schedule. He’s also getting better at being in a crate overnight, but he would much rather be in bed with his owner as the little spoon. Wilbur is a super sweet, happy little guy and will make a great companion for one lucky family! He is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, and ready to meet you! His adoption donation is $400. Please apply on our website directly in the drop down menu at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
