Male Dog, Miniature Pinscher

Miniature Pinscher (Short Coat)

Description:

Sweet Zookie has had some trauma somewhere in his past, we have never met a minpin that did not want to snuggle undercovers. Zookie loves to run in the yard and play with his toys (don't take them). He does not know personal space and will jump on your lap and stand on you to to get attention and love. He will bounce on your leg when he first sees you. He loves to play with hands and wrist just have to remind him to go gentle when he gets going. When Zookie gets going those zoomies and something to watch out for. Zookie would do best in an adult home so when he does feel threatened and gives off his growls people know to leave him alone. He is getting better in his foster home day by day but knowing when he has had enough is important. Zookie is VERY food motivated and will sit for treats. He is not found of strangers touching him so patience's is a must. He does want to play with other dogs. but maybe not share toys. No idea about cats. He is doing well at housetraining, he did just get neutered. Zookie is a tall minpin about 15 lbs. He would do best with women. To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $150 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.
