Description:
Please contact Rose ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.Welcome to rescue Pogo! She is from an overcrowded shelter in MO, and we think she's a mix of a cattle dog, BC, and who knows what else (she is only 28 lbs, and the vet paperwork said mini Aussie lol!). She is smart as a whip and wants to be near you. Pogo would make a great performance dog in agility, flyball, or other sports. Pogo also knows how to swim and has a vertical leap that would impress any Olympic athlete. She is great with the dogs and cats in her foster home. She really likes to wrestle and play, so another friendly, playful dog in a home would be a bonus. Pogo is doing well with housebreaking and crate training, but new owners will need to continue the training. Pogo is busy and active, but also a cuddle bug. Her perfect home would be with people who enjoy doing things and another dog to play with. Given her activity level, an active home that would enjoy daily walks or training in a sport would be preferred. She will need a job to do so. If you are looking for a couch potato, this girl is not right for you. She is good with kids but a little mouthy (everything goes in her mouth) and she does jump on you a lot (we are working on it), so maybe no young kids. To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc), a $350 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of the adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.
