Male Dog, Golden Retriever
Golden Retriever / Mixed
Description:
Meet Cooper, a 4-year-old Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix who has stolen our hearts with his gentle spirit and loving nature. Cooper has always been a happy, playful pup, but recently, we received heartbreaking news. Despite his cheerful demeanor, Cooper has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, a condition found often in Golden Retrievers if they are bred indiscriminately by irresponsible breeders. Although he doesn't show obvious signs of discomfort, our vets have confirmed that he is likely in pain, and it’s time to take action. Cooper will be undergoing a Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO) surgery next week (mid April) to help alleviate his pain and improve his quality of life. Cooper remains the sweet, lovable dog we know and cherish. Although he will never be a marathon running or trail biking companion, he will certainly be able to take long walks, swim, run and play. He Is looking for a family who can offer him the love, patience, and comfort he deserves for the rest of his days. He is a loyal, loving companion who is sure to bring joy to any household.
