Female Dog, Bulldog

Bulldog / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* This sassy senior is still looking for her forever home. Phyllis is looking for that special someone who understands an old lady may not always feel her prettiest and therefore wants to be left alone, may have extended nap sessions and sometimes just wants to pig out. Phyllis would rather have short walks to her food dish and potty spot than long walks on the beach, or up and down many stairs, and she would prefer a spot where she can sleep near you so she knows you're sticking around. Phyllis does snore (as any self respecting bulldog does) so earplugs may be necessary if she sleeps right next to you. Phyllis likes to talk. She likes to tell you when she wants attention, when she is hungry, when she has to potty and most importantly when she needs to be tucked in. (Phyllis always prefers to be tucked in when she goes to sleep.) Phyllis enjoys playing with you but not so much alone. Squeaky toys are her favorite but she loves her lamby too. Phyllis knows to bring toys back and does so for as long as she wants to play. Phyllis has lots of love left to give and wants to find the special person who wants to give it back. Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Phyllis is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you'd like to donate towards this pet's care, you can donate to our Animal Care Fund. Our Animal Care Fund supports the medical and veterinary needs for all Ruff Start Rescue animals. You'll be able to enter this pet's name on the second page of the donation form.
