Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier
Pit Bull Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed
Description:
Meet Paisley, who has lovingly been called Meatball Tiny Dog or TD by her previous family. TD LOVES other dogs. She plays with the 13 pound Chihuahua constantly. She also loves all the neighbor dogs that are much much much bigger than her. If it’s a dog, it’s her best friend. TD is about 8 pounds and full grown now. She is potty trained to a dog door and goes in and out as needed day and night. But if its raining, she will have an occasional accident but that’s kind of a chihuahua thing so we don’t hold it against her. While TD is a fun loving and amazing girl most of the time, she is fearful and shy too. She needs a family that will respect her space and allow her to come to you on her terms. She loves sitting and snuggling but doesn’t like to be grabbed at or picked up unless she has shown that she is interested in it. She never snaps or anything but she will run away and hide. Sometimes unexpected visits from strangers initially cause some understandable anxiety. However, Tiny Dog is showing wonderful progress in learning to stay calm. Her family is dedicated to helping her feel safe and secure, and she's responding well to kennel training when visitors arrive. They're also focusing on building her confidence and helping her understand that she doesn't need to "protect" the home, and with continued training and patience, she's sure to blossom into a confident and happy member of the family! She does wonderful in her kennel and spends time in there anytime strangers are here now. She is also fed in her kennel but that’s only because otherwise she eats all the other dogs food. She is highly food motivated and loves to eat! Tiny Dog is so easy to love, she just needs to be in the right home for her. Is that with you?! Paisley is from Texas.
