Description:
*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Meet Mrs. Moose – Your Future Shadow and Snuggle Buddy! Mrs. Moose is a sweet, soulful, and devoted girl, who thrives when she has your attention and affection. She loves belly rubs, mealtime, and happy zooms in circles, pausing to grin at you with pure joy. Funny sounds make her wag her tail like crazy, and she delights in leaning into the people she trusts. While she isn’t toy-motivated yet, she enjoys a good chew and loves being near her favorite humans. Moose is gentle with children she knows and will warm up to visitors once she feels safe. She walks well outside and enjoys time exploring, showing off her happy, playful side. Moose would do best in a calm home with predictable routines, where there aren't a lot of visitors coming and going. She can be cautious inside the home, particularly with new people. With patience, clear boundaries, and consistent routines, she gradually gains confidence and shows the loving, loyal companion she truly is. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who will shower you with loyalty and joy once you earn her trust, Mrs. Moose could be the perfect match. Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your Senior dog in top shape. Mrs. Moose is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
