Description:
Holly is a beautiful and incredibly smart pup with a sharp mind and a big heart. She was born to a stray mom living on an oil rig site and has carried that survivor’s spirit into her foster home. Holly learns quickly, is always watching, and has proven herself to be a natural problem solver. She can be a little cautious at first, but once you earn her trust, she is devoted and affectionate. Holly has a funny habit of spinning in circles when she knows food is coming, and while she eats very fast, she is not food aggressive. Her foster can even pet her while she’s eating. Because of her past, she’s used to being hungry, so she still eats like she’s making up for lost meals. Holly is playful and sometimes chases the family cat, so she would do best in a home where that can be managed. She’s clever enough to get into mischief if she is bored, so she will thrive with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. A family who can keep her engaged, give her structure, and appreciate her intelligence will be rewarded with a loyal and loving companion. This smart girl is ready for a home that understands her brilliance and her need for connection. Hollyn is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 10/4/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon . Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
