Description:
Meet Chardonnay — the pint-sized powerhouse with sky-blue eyes and enough personality to fill a whole vineyard! Chardonnay arrived with 12 other Pomimos (two moms and ten puppies!) after a local impound gave them all a much-deserved freedom ride to Ruff Start Rescue. With breeding having spiraled out of control in their previous situation, no one even knew which puppies belonged to which mom. So, in true “everyone in the minivan!” fashion, a foster welcomed both mamas and all the pups to keep the whole fluffy family safe and together. Chardonnay is a high-energy little lady who wants to be as close to her people as physically possible. If her stunning blue eyes don’t win you over, her dramatic head tilts definitely will. She’s a champion snuggler, an Olympic-level jumper (yes, she will hop right into your arms), and an unapologetic shower supervisor who insists the curtain stays open so she can oversee the process. She’s not super into sharing her food yet and thinks the chickens in the yard are suspicious at best. She’s also working on her “stranger danger” feelings—but don’t worry, she uses her impressive voice to announce her opinions. With a toy or a Kong, this nervous chewer stays busy, and her food motivation makes training a breeze. Chardonnay is looking for a home where she’ll get lots of attention, plenty of patience, and a family ready to help her grow her confidence. If you’re looking for a quirky, cuddly, energetic sidekick with heart-melting eyes, this little mama is ready to love you endlessly. Chardonnay is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
