Male Dog, Pit Bull Terrier
Pit Bull Terrier / Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Bento is a sweet little dog who arrived at Minneapolis Animal Care and Control as a stray. He adores belly rubs and cuddles, and, at 38 pounds, he still qualifies as a lapdog—at least he believes so! His foster mom says Bento has youthful energy and enjoys lengthy play sessions with his doggie foster sister in the backyard. Smart and eager to please, Bento is still learning manners. He will listen to corrections from his humans and dog pals. Bento enjoys de-fluffing plush toys in his spare time and considers anything on the ground fair game for him to chew on! He stays in his kennel when his foster mom is not home to prevent him from getting into mischief. Bento has been working hard on his house training and has learned to keep his kennel clean overnight. Although he has had some accidents in the house, they are now very rare and his foster mom is confident that he will soon be fully housetrained. Friendly toward both people and other dogs, it is unknown how he would behave around cats. He still exhibits puppy-like behaviors and can get mouthy when overly excited during play, so a home without young children is probably best. Bento is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
