Meet Alice! Alice is a beautiful shepherd mix with a gentle soul who’s looking for a calm, committed home to help her thrive. While she may be a bit shy at first, once she feels safe and comfortable, Alice shows her sweet, calm, and affectionate side. Alice would do best in a quiet home without a lot of visitors, as too much activity can be overwhelming for her. She’s a bit of an escape artist, so a tall, secure fenced-in yard or always being leashed outdoors is a must. She may do okay with a calm adult dog who isn’t interested in play, but she does not do well with playful or roughhousing dogs—especially puppies—and should be placed in a home without​ children. Alice is still working on her potty training . She’s also learning to feel more comfortable in a kennel, which is important because she can become very destructive if left alone. She will need an extra-sturdy crate (preferably hard plastic) as she works on settling into a routine. Alice is a special girl with specific needs, but in the right home, her sweet personality and gentle nature will shine. She just needs someone patient and understanding to help her feel safe and secure. Alice is from a local impound.
