Description:
Akeh is a very sweet, goofy boy who is looking for a patient and loving household. He is a big lovebug and is always looking for a cozy spot next to his favorite people. He enjoys going for walks and is good on a leash but will get easily distracted if you let him. He does well when he has clear boundaries set and reminders on how to be a gentleman. He is very treat motivated and needs someone willing to continue to work with him on his manners. Akeh does get a long with other dogs, although his playful roughness can sometimes come off as a little rude and because of this, not all dogs appreciate his enthusiastic greetings but he always means well. We think he could be ok in a household as an only dog but also could thrive with a dog similar in size to match his play style. Akeh loves kongs and heavy duty toys and bones and is very good about sharing. He does extremely well in the car and the kennel. We use the kennel at night and a fews days a week when at work. And we do also use his kennel every now and then to help him decompress when he needs to shut down for a few minutes. Sometimes it seems as though he doesn't realize how big he is and just wants to play so he would probably do best in a home with older kids. He has not been cat tested. He really is a very sweet guy and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. If you're ready for a loyal, fun loving pup, Akeh is ready to become your new best friend!
