I am just a little guy my foster mom was so surprised to see how small I am since I look bigger in my pictures. One thing that the pictures do not lie about is how handsome I am. I have the most beautiful red coloring and adorable white markings. I have a foster dog brother and I look just like his mini me! I get along great with the 2 dogs in the home, I am not super hyper and annoying like some puppies so I am not jumping all over them, so they are enjoying having a calmer pup around. Now don’t get me wrong I do enjoy playing! My foster mom throws this bright green round thing around the yard and me and the other dogs run after it and chase each other after someone gets it. Unfortunately that’s usually not me since I have such little legs, they are just faster! My foster mom says that I am house trained since I haven’t had an accident in the house since coming to live with them. If I have to go outside I will get up and pace by the door. I am working hard on crate training right now and its getting better. It takes maybe about 15 mins for me to calm down for the night. Once I have settled in I don’t usually make a peep until its time to get up in the morning. I am always SOOO excited to see my people. I love being by them and just feeling their presence, I have heard them call me their little shadow. I like to go where ever they are! I am a bit vocal and you can just hear the excitement in my voice when I see my people. I do eventually calm down and then I am quiet I have not met little kids yet but my foster mom thinks I would be fine with them if they are respectful. I didn’t have a lot of human interaction at the beginning of my life and while I LOVE it sometimes fast motions scare me and I flinch. My foster mom says she doesn’t think I have a mean bone in my body though! We have started working on training and the first thing my foster mom said we need to master is the four on the floor rule. Apparently not everyone loves to be jumped and loved on. We have also started to work on my leash manners. Apparently youre not supposed to chew on it while trying to walk... Who knew! But my foster mom things that with consitancy I will be a pro in no time! There are these animals in the backyard that my foster mom calls chickens and so far I haven’t shown any interest in them in fact I jumped when I first saw one up close. So my foster mom thinks that I will be just fine with little critters. If you are interested in learning more about me I would love a chance to make a new friend so fill out an application!Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
