Pomeranian / Mixed
Description:
Meet Rio sweet and spirited 3-year-old Pomeranian who is ready to find his forever home! Rio has a lively personality that perfectly matches his fluffy good looks. He's full of energy, always eager to play, and loves to be the center of attention. Whether it’s chasing a toy around the living room, going for a walk, or simply soaking up love on the couch, Rio is happiest when he's included in whatever his people are doing. Rio is very intelligent and curious. He enjoys exploring his surroundings and will often keep a close eye on everything going on around him. Like many Pomeranians, he can be vocal, letting you know when someone is at the door or when he’s excited about something. Because of this, he would do best with a family that appreciates his protective little watchdog tendencies while also helping him know when it’s time to settle down. He thrives on companionship and forms close bonds with his people. Rio loves being admired. His thick, soft coat requires regular brushing, which is not his favorite part of the day. He can get a bit nippy during this, so his family should be comfortable with basic maintenance of his coat. Rio would do well in a home where he can get plenty of attention and exercise. He enjoys being outdoors but is small enough to adapt perfectly to apartment living, as long as he gets his daily walks and playtime. Rio is not crate trained but does well free roam, if not for long periods of time . He also prefers to be the star of the household, but with proper introductions, he can live with other friendly dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun, and affectionate companion, Rio could be the perfect match. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless love to a family who will cherish him as much as he deserves. NOTE: Rio tested positive for Anaplasmosis, which is a tick borne diseases that can cause flare ups over his lifetime & may need to be treated with antibiotics. The majority of dogs live full normal lives with this disease. Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.
