Female Dog, Chihuahua

Chihuahua / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Meet Beam! Beam is a bright, bouncy, 6 pound, 14-week-old Chihuahua mix puppy who recently arrived from Tijuana, Mexico via Mutt Mutt Engine—and she’s ready to light up her forever home! This friendly girl has lots of energy and loves to zoom around the yard with her foster sibling. When playtime is over, she’s just as happy to curl up for cuddles on a warm lap. Beam is currently ruling her “kitchen kingdom,” as she’s still a little nervous around the large resident dogs—but she’s making progress every day! Potty training is also a work in progress; she’s doing well with both outdoor breaks and potty pads (about 75% success and improving daily). She hasn’t started leash training just yet, but with her VERY strong food motivation, she’s bound to be a quick learner once she begins formal training. Beam rides nicely in a crate during car trips and loves meeting people. She does like to express herself with some barking—at dogs, the door, and sometimes even the TV—so she may not be the best fit for an apartment or shared-wall setting. Beam will thrive in a home that can match her enthusiasm, continue her socialization, and help her grow into the confident, well-mannered dog she’s meant to be. Adventurous spirit, cuddly heart, and a beam of sunshine all rolled into one! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $625.00
