Description:
Cookie is one of 3 puppies who were found on a rural property in late October 2025. They had to stay in a foster home for over 2 months because we did not have room at the shelter. As of January 2026, Cookie has made it to MCHS and is still needing a home since her sisters have been adopted. She is now around 7 months old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. She has been fully vetted and microchipped and her fee is $150. Cookie was said to be the most adventurous of the 3 siblings. She loves to explore and kind of push the boundaries a little bit. She is active and fun loving. She has done well with other dogs and kids. She's curious about cats but has shown no negative behavior around them. She's ready for action and would love a home that is ready and able to keep up with her and her antics. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
