STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application. Hi! My name is momma Kaylee! I gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies! They were DNA tested and Lab/Pitty mixes, so it is safe to say I am some variation of that also! I appear black but in the sun I am a deep chocolate brown. I am ready for a family to LOVE and boy do I have a lot of love to give! I am happy-go lucky, and I always have a smile on my face. I love to play and cuddle and I cant wait to go on fun adventures with my family - I am up for anything! My foster mom says I'm a short stocky low rider! I think she means I'm EXTRA cute!! I get along with my foster siblings, but I would probably prefer to be an only pup or be willing to do slow and proper intros. My adoption fee has been sponsored and all of my vetting up to date, I'm heartworm negative, I'm already spayed, microchipped, and I come with my collar, leash, treats, toys, some other goodies and even a crate if you need one! All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess. BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!
