Please understand that we get many applications for our available dogs. We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. Good day people – Reggie here! I’m a true original with a quirky personality to boot! There is never a dull moment while I’m around. As you can see from my pics, I’m mostly dachshund (with some surprises thrown in). I’m a tiny senior guy and despite some random fur here and there, I’m pretty much hairless. I have that doxie disposition and will command attention when it suits me. I’m very healthy, but I have no teeth and my eyesight is limited. I get around pretty well in daylight, but have a little trouble navigating in low light situations. I don’t have a mean bone in my body, but as a result of my vision, I can be easily surprised or frightened and may lash out and nip or bite if startled. Overall, I’m a really happy little man. It takes me a little time to get used to new people, but once I’m comfortable I turn into a top notch snuggle bug – as long as I’m in the mood. In fact, if you give me a blanket, I will craft the coziest, most comfy nest you have ever seen, and at times, sing myself to sleep. And I vow to protect you from dog toys of all sorts by shaking them into submission. I get along fine with most dogs and cats, but I would prefer to be in a home with only small dogs, or even better I would love to be the center of attention as the only dog in your life. I‘m a sucker for attention and devotion. If you’re looking for a curmudgeon with a heart of gold, I’m your man!
