Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier / Bulldog / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

*I WILL BE OUT OF THE SHELTER UNTIL 5-3-24*Hi there! My name is Sally! I'm about 4 years old, weigh about 57lbs, and I'm a Bulldog/Pitbull mix!I'm a super sweet and fun-loving gal! I get the zoomies quite easily and love to race around! I sometimes forget my manners when I get wound up and I get a little mouthy and like to jump on you! I just get so excited and want to play, but taking me to positive obedience classes should help with this!I would do best in a home with kids 10 and up, I would probably be too much energy for really little ones. I do love to play with other dogs, and would love to meet yours to see if we're a match! The staff doesn't know how I would do with cats, though, so a slow and supervised introduction would be needed.I love to play with toys! I also know sit, shake and working on down! So, here's the sad part about me...I'm heartworm positive! Unfortunately, my previous owner didn't keep me up on my preventative. Fortunately for me, the staff at MCAC is treating me for it! It is a fairly long process, and I will have to be kept calm and quiet for about a month after I've had my treatment. If you do take me home, they will go over the treatment process with you! It's pretty easy, I just have to take some pills everyday, which I have no problem with if you wrap them up in a yummy treat!I'm up to date on my vaccines, just please make sure that I see my new veterinarian regularly! My adoption fee is sponsored...but if you would like to make a donation it would greatly be appreciated!! It would help with my treatment...which is pretty expensive! If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. My adoption fee is being Sponsored by Macomb County Animal Control. So hopefully I will meet my new family soon!
