Hello, my name is Portia and came into the shelter as a stray. I'm about 3 years old and weigh about 55lbs. I'm a little nervous and shy at first when I meet new people. I do come out of my shell when I feel comfortable and when I see other dogs. You just have to be patience with me and give me extra time to get comfortable with my surroundings. I will for sure will be better in a nice warm house with a lot of love.A nice family home what I'm wishing for all my life! A fence in yard would be the best so I could around and play especially with another dog. I will benefit with extra training, I do know how to sit and will give you my paw! I also like to go for walks and sleep in a nice soft bed when I get tired from a hard day for play. I never been around cats before so probably be better in a home with no cats or can do very slow introduction with me and a cat. I'm just hoping to find my forever home so I can enjoy the rest of my life.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.
