Holly is a beautiful 1-year-old pitbull mix with the softest eyes and the biggest heart. When she arrived at Macomb County Animal Control, she had already endured more hardship than any dog ever should. She came to us in very rough shapeâtired, scared, and clearly carrying the weight of a difficult past.Despite everything she has been through, Holly has held onto something incredibly special: her sweetness. She is a shy girl at first, especially with new people or unfamiliar situations, but with patience and kindness she begins to open up. Once Holly feels safe, she shows her loving and gentle nature, leaning in for quiet affection and soft reassurance.Holly is looking for a calm, patient household where she can continue to heal and grow. She would do best in a quieter home with adults or older teens who can move at her pace and help her learn that the world can be a safe place. She is friendly with other dogs, but she prefers the company of laid-back pups who wonât overwhelm her with too much energy. Because of her sensitive personality, a home without young children or cats will be the most comfortable fit for her.More than anything, Holly wants a warm, loving home where she can finally relax and feel secure.
