Over the weekend we welcomed this sweet, little, stubby-legged lady to H-E-A-R-T. Lucy was surrendered to a NC shelter when her family could no longer care for her. Her smile and rounded ears won us over and she joined the gang at the sanctuary. We were a bit skeptical how she'd be with the bigger dogs, but she really doesn't know she's not 100% Sibe! She's now running the joint! Lucy just turned a year old and weighs 38lbs. She has Corgi ears and legs. She loves to play and is so stinking sweet! We adore her! She will need a home with other dogs her size or larger she can boss around that will wrestle with her. After all, she thinks she's the boss. She will also need a yard to play in. Lucy is house trained and crate trained and is just the sweetest little thing. She knows how to sit for treats and is food motivated. She's presently in NC but can be transported for adoption. Her adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA www.huskyrescueteam.org ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
