Female Dog, American Eskimo Dog
American Eskimo Dog / Mixed (Short Coat)
Description:
Available for Adoption, Akina of Central Florida! Akina (aka Luna) is an adorable and spunky little girl who wants to be an 'only child'. She's a great dog, energetic and healthy, that loves people; but she's not doing well with all the dogs in her foster home. She's curious about other dogs but not ready for interaction with them, especially with male dogs. She does like the foster's 5 pound Chi, but Akina should probably be the only pet in the home. Akina needs an Eskie-savvy adopter, that has time to train her and socialize her. She's an Eskie mix with naturally short hair, so she's very low maintenance and could be the perfect dog for someone that loves the eskie intelligence and personality, without needing to brush as often. Akina loves playing ball (will even bring it back to you!), going for car rides, and watching tv with her human. She's leash trained, house trained, weighs 36 pounds, and is 3 years old. Akina means "spring flower" or "bright morning" with Japanese roots, reflecting beauty and new beginnings. Akina is looking forward to her new beginning! If you have any questions about Akina, please send an e-mail to: [email protected]. There should be no other pets in the home, and no small children please. To submit an adoption application for Akina/aka Luna, please complete and submit our online Adoption Application. You'll find the link for it partway down this page on our website: https://www.eskierescuers.org/info/display?PageID=21057 Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
