Meet Sparky Sparky is an 11 year old, 13 lbs pom mix. Sparky is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and will have a dental on May 6. At 11 years young, Sparky clearly didn’t get the memo about slowing down. This charming little guy greets his foster every single day by bringing her her slippers - his version of a warm, joyful “welcome.” It’s impossible not to smile. See Facebook post 5/1 first comment for video of Sparky bringing slippers. Sparky is proof that age is just a number. He’s super smart, learns quickly, is active, agile, and full of personality, but also wonderfully easy to live with. He’s social, housetrained, walks well on leash and is trustworthy enough to have full run of the house—no crate needed. Truly a low-maintenance companion who just wants to be part of your life. He would likely be happiest as an only dog but he has lived successfully with a small female dog in the past. Senior dogs like Sparky are so often overlooked, but they have so much love (and fun!) left to give.
