Female Dog, Chihuahua
Chihuahua (Medium Coat)
Description:
Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying. Thank you for your cooperation.NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 2/19/26: Thalia - female - approx 7 years old - 8.10 pounds - Chihuahua Reason for intake: Thalia came in with Kalista. We were contacted by a rescue friend about these four little Chihuahuas. The elderly owner is in rehab and didn't feel he'd be able to care for them any longer. The dogs had been in the home for three weeks with a neighbor feeding them. We took in two and the other two went to a different rescue. All were terrified and panic when handled. The owner's wife passed a few years ago and the husband's health declined ever since. These little girls will need some reassurance to come out of their shells and get accustomed to their new life. They are heading to the vet the week of 2/23/2026. Stay tuned. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
