Description:
Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying. Thank you for your cooperation.NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION STRAY NEW INTAKE 10/21/2025: Fowler - male - approx 1-2 years old - 5.14 pounds - Schnauzer mix Reason for intake: Fowler was found around Lakeview area on Cross Lake. He was in the middle of the road being dodged by vehicles. A nice lady spotted him and picked him up. She contacted us and kept him overnight. He's in poor shape missing quite a bit of his hair and what hair he does have is matted. He has long nails and is infested with ear mites. He was not wearing a collar and is not chipped. We have contacted animal control. If this is your dog, message our page. We do not go off of "see if the dog answers to xxxxx". We do not go off of anything but proof as in pictures and vet records. If an owner comes forward, they will be required to reclaim him through animal control, during their business hours, explain his condition and pay the required reclamation fees. No reclamations on the weekend. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~ Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life. Blessings.
