Meet Jesse! Pictures don't do this handsome boy justice. The personality of a labrador, but the colors of a catahoula/german short-haired pointer. He's just beautiful! Especially in sunlight.Since being out of the shelter his real personality started to shine. Jesse is a playful dog, around 3 years old and around 60lbs. He loves to run around in the fenced in yard, but can also soak in country life while getting scratches. He's loveable and shows it by hugging you. He puts his legs around your hips, while enjoying his back and sides scratched.He's good with other dogs, but will give small corrections if a dog is "too much". After a little growl he goes back to playing right away. He would do best with a dog that is not that high energy, so he can level. He's good with both bigger and smaller dogs. Jesse is also good with kids of all ages. But like said before: he loves to hug! So supervision with smaller kids is definitely recommended.Jesse knows some basic commands already, like sit, down, heel and come. Just like every dog that has been in the shelter for a while, his commands need some work. But with consistency he'll do amazing!He would love a home that takes him on nice walks, nature trail hikes and spends time to play with him. Enrichment and other mental stimulation activities will make this boy the best!The person adopting Jesse will have a loyal dog, that just wants love and attention.
