Male Dog, Mastiff

Mastiff / Boxer / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Who is looking for a Gentle Giant in a compact body? At 55lbs, Bruce is the perfect "small" sized large dog. Bruce was a stray that turned up at someone's house and a neighbor took him in trying to find his family. Sadly no one has stepped forward for this boy. He is a very sweet boy who is very cautious of noises, barks, cars etc. He is learning to sit on command and is working on his leash manners. He hasn't shown any aggression and is generally a slow easy-going guy. He enjoys laying down with his foster family and being petted. He likes to run down the deck stairs into the backyard, around to the other side, and back up. When he runs around in the yard, he lopes around playfully, which he didn't do 2 weeks ago! He is starting to open up for us. We are still learning about Bruce as he begins to come out of his shell, but his foster dad says, "I can see signs of a great dog!" Bruce is available through Guardians of the Green Mile (www.gotgm.org) of Portage, IN. Application can be found here: https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
