Meet Marlo! This sweet girl comes across a tad timid when first she is approached. Understandably so, she was not socialized much with people as a puppy. Marlo was abandoned with 3 other sisters in the Des Plaines area. She spent 4 months in animal control and pretty much grew up in their custody. When Marlo made her way to our program we saw what great potential she had. Marlo warms up real quick to any kind human, even a child. Marlo has a loving nature and aims strives to please her humans. She is quirky and very cute. Marlo loves to play with toys and even carries the little toy bin around at times. She has the ability to learn so much and be a lovely house pup. Marlo most definitely has some stranger danger to work through but her barks will always alert you to any possible intruder. Marlo really enjoys being around other dogs. She plays in our pack playgroup often and has many friends. She does, however, do better with medium and large sized dogs. She tends to jump on tiny dogs and therefore is best matched with dogs her size. Marlo isn't too interested in cats but might be better off in a home without them or with a very confident (dog savvy) cat. Marlo is currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash, has basic obedience and is also crate trained. This sweet girl has waited months to get on the adoption floor and she is beyond ready to make someone smile every day.
