Meet Russell, a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart full of joy and a toy always close by! Weighing about 47 pounds, this happy, gentle boy has the perfect mix of playful energy and easygoing charm. Russell absolutely loves toys—so much that he even brought his favorite squeaky along for his Doggie Day Out to the park! He had a blast there, soaking up all the sights and sounds, and was perfectly polite with all the kids he met (he’s been great with children as young as one). He’s also a social guy who enjoys playing with other friendly dogs, though he’s just as content entertaining himself in the yard. Smart and eager to please, Russell knows “sit,” but let’s be honest—he’d much rather earn a toy than a treat! He’s quiet in his kennel, gentle with people, and ready to find a home that appreciates his sweet nature and playful spirit. Russell’s adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee for rabies registration (for McLean County residents, if he’s 4 months or older). He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
