Ethel and Lucille are a pair of Goldendoodle sisters who are on a journey to feeling safe and loved. Ethel is 3 years old and Lucille is 2, and both weigh around 46 pounds. These beautiful girls take comfort in each other’s company and are slowly learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. Both girls are shy and easily startled by loud noises or sudden movements, so they’ll need a quiet, patient home with a predictable routine. They’re most comfortable in their crates, where they can relax and feel secure, and they’re making progress with house training. They enjoy spending time together on the deck, soaking up the fresh air, and going for short walks when they’re feeling brave. Ethel and Lucille will need adopters who understand that trust takes time and are willing to let them bloom at their own pace. A securely fenced yard is required, as these two can be flight risks when frightened. We hope to find them a quiet home without young children. With love, patience, and consistency, Ethel and Lucille will continue to grow in confidence — and their adopter will be rewarded with the quiet, gentle love of two deeply loyal dogs who have found safety and happiness together. Their minimum adoption fee is $500 for the pair plus $15 rabies registration fee for each dog for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
