Sam has a heart full of love and a gentle, sweet soul. Though he’s blind and hard of hearing, Sam navigates the world with the help of a kind human and a whole lot of affection. He’s a little needy—but in the best possible way. Sam thrives on closeness, cozy spaces, and warm laps. He finds comfort in familiar voices, soft pets, and the occasional tasty treat (especially if it’s people food!). Sam’s favorite things include being near his person, gentle attention, and lounging in a safe, comfy spot.He doesn’t love being alone, so he’d be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. A quiet house with a fenced yard would be ideal, giving him space to do his business and explore safely at his own pace. He’s wonderful with other dogs and would be a calm and loving companion to another mellow pup. Sam may need a little extra help at first, but he gives back tenfold with loyalty, warmth, and snuggles.
