Meet Mae Mae! Mae Mae is about a year old and is a smart, silly, cute Jack Russell mix with a HUGE personality and even more love to give! She’s the kind of girl who will keep you laughing with her Terrier zoomies, adorable antics, and love for her toys.Mae Mae is SO smart! Her foster mom taught her to fetch and bring the ball back in just 15 minutes because she immediately picked up “Ball” and “Bring me the ball.” She also responds quickly to “No” and truly wants to please her people. With her intelligence and eagerness to learn, we have no doubt Mae Mae can overcome most behaviors with patience, consistency, and someone willing to put in the time.She absolutely LOVES to run, play fetch, and chase her toys, especially her favorite tennis ball and squeaky toys. She even loves doing her adorable zoomie circles around her walker! Although a fenced yard is certainly not a requirement for Mae Mae, this energetic little girl would absolutely LOVE having a safe, fenced-in space where she can regularly stretch her legs and get those famous zoomies out. And after all that excitement? She LOVES to sleep! Mae Mae will happily sleep in her crate, stretching slowly when she wakes up before looking for some cuddles. Mae Mae is crate trained and is working on her potty training. She just needs someone willing to give her the time, consistency, and dedication she deserves. We promise, this smart girl is worth it!She gets along well with other dogs and would likely do fine with cats. In fact, she’s currently a little afraid of the cat in her foster home! Mae Mae does have one little rescue quirk: she isn’t a fan of strangers coming at her quickly and reaching over her head to pet her. Children should be taught to give her a slow, calm greeting. If you give Mae Mae a little time to sniff you and get comfortable, she warms up beautifully. Once she knows you, that hesitation disappears and she’s ready to show you just how much love she has to give. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, entertaining pup with Terrier energy and a whole lot of personality, Mae Mae might just be your girl! She doesn’t need someone perfect—she needs someone patient, consistent, and willing to give her the time she deserves.
