I'm 57 lbs., and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $450 Meet Nubs! This handsome Ibizan Hound/Basenji mix is on a quest for his forever home—and he’s bringing the charm! Nubs made his way to us from Southern Illinois after being found as a stray, but he’s ready to leave his wandering days behind and settle into family life. This clever boy already knows “sit”… especially when snacks are part of the deal (he’s very food-motivated and proud of it). Nubs is equal parts playful and affectionate, always up for fun and even more ready for cuddles. He’s the kind of pup who will happily fill your home with love, laughter, and a few happy zoomies. Nubs is hoping to find a family who will adore him as much as he’ll adore them. Could your home be the happily-ever-after he’s been waiting for? All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble.
