This beautiful American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix is ready to sprinkle a little sunshine into her forever home! Merrygold joined us at Animal House Shelter after making her way from a shelter in Southern Illinois, and now she’s patiently waiting for her happily-ever-after. She’s a sweet, gentle girl with a calm and easygoing vibe. If energy levels were on a dial, Merrygold would happily sit in that low-to-medium sweet spot—up for some toy time but equally excited about cozy cuddle sessions. She gets along well with cats and other dogs, making her a lovely addition to a multi-pet household. Merrygold enjoys playtime, but she truly shines when she’s relaxing by your side, soaking up love and giving it right back. Looking for a loyal, calm companion who will love you to the moon and back? Merrygold just might be your perfect match. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble.
