Male Dog, Border Collie

Border Collie / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Please contact [email protected] for more information about this pet.Meet Mongo!! Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Mix — Male, 2 Years Old Mongo is a beautiful red-and-white Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 55 pounds. He was found roaming in Batesville, Indiana and picked up as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. What we do know is that he’s social, affectionate, and eager to connect with both people and animals. Mongo is very interested in other dogs and cats and has not shown any aggression toward them. He is friendly with new people, adults, and children, and he loves attention. Because he doesn’t always realize his size and is prone to jumping up on people, he will need continued work on manners. For now, he may be best suited to families without very young children or older/frail individuals who could be knocked over. His energy level is moderate-high, but he still benefits from regular exercise and structure. He enjoys walks, is good on a leash, and does best with several outings a day to run off some energy. Mongo is crate trained, still learning his house manners, and shows a lot of potential as he continues adjusting to home life. He is being fostered in Westville, Indiana. Please contact [email protected] if you have questions about Mongo. *** The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that the foster dog is not a good match for the applicant and we do not process their application.
