Emmy is a 10-year-old Lab/Pit mix with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. She’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near you. She loves snuggling on the couch, going for a walk, or keeping quiet company and is great at helping you clean the kitchen floor. Emmy adores cats, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is happiest when she’s part of a calm, loving home. She can be a little anxious at first, but mostly she just wants reassurance and affection she’s truly a velcro dog at heart. Sadly, Emmy’s life has been turned upside again. Her original owner had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome her last year due to serious health issues and frequent hospitalizations. Emmy found what she thought was her forever home and has spent the last year being the loyal, gentle companion she always is. until this week, when her current family (pregnant and moving) suddenly decided they could no longer keep her and threatened to surrender her to a shelter if we cannot find placement immediately. Her previous owner still loves her deeply but cannot safely take her back due to ongoing medical issues.
