Meet Astro! *** Give Astro a chance with our Foster-To-Adopt program !*** Astro is a loyal and intelligent Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler mix looking for a loving forever home. He is approximately 3 years old. Astro requires an experienced owner. Australian Cattle Dogs are highly social and form strong bonds with their human families. We were told he can be anxious when left alone. He may do better if he has ano ther dog to keep him company. Astro has amazing recall and knows several commands, including sit, down, and stay. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys spending time with his human. However, he does require an experienced owner who can manage his anxiety, especially when left alone. We were told that a steel kennel has been used in the past to help him cope with being left alone, although we have no evidence of this behavior. If you're looking for a smart and loyal companion who needs a bit of extra attention, Astro is ready to meet you! *** Give Astro a chance with our Foster-To-Adopt program !*** All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter.
