Buttercup is a 4.5 yo, ~50-pound female Swiss Mountain Dog/Retriever mix. She's a loving, fun girl who's eager to please. She's intelligent, mild-mannered, and sweet-natured, but can be timid with new people and places. She needs an adopter who will help her learn to trust again. She's currently taking professional training classes with her foster parents to build her confidence. Buttercup is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows several commands, including a hand to eat and "place". She's a smart, goofy girl who enjoys learning, car rides, and walks. She likes dogs similar in nature as large or rowdy dogs sometimes intimidate her. Cats are unknown. She's the best mix of laid-back and playful, can entertain herself, and is a great work-from-home or retirement buddy. "Butters" loves her toys, fetch, zooming around, and is reigning tug-of-war champ. She's up for anything and will do whatever you're in the mood for. She's also an excellent cuddler! Due to her shyness, Buttercup's ideal home is calm, predictable, and without young kids, or lots of new people. She'd like a fenced yard, but it's not required as long as she's kept active. Buttercup needs a dog-savvy adopter who will provide her guidance and consistency while she builds her confidence. She's a very lovable and deserving girl ready for her furever home! She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.
